Brief biography

Little is known about Grace Deakin, born on June 19, 1925. She married John Deakin by 1949, and the two had a daughter together, Kathrine. She was also stepmother to John’s son, John Robert. The family lived in Sarasota, Florida, where they operated a tourist attraction, The Glass Blowers, on North Tamiami Trail. John and Grace ran the business for the rest of their lives.

Deakin died in Sarasota, Florida, on August 4, 1985, and is buried in Venice Memorial Gardens in Venice Gardens, Florida.
